If I could like this video at multiple points, I would. And I don't say this lightly. Some essential points made and I hope people join the conversation, here and in their personal lives. You CANNOT save your way to wealth. No one any of us know is out there buying yachts, fancy cars, designer clothes on basic wages. People are being pinned against getting medical check-ups and oil changes for their cars. If getting into credit card debt to pay for these "extravagances" is "living beyond one's means", we as a society really need to wake up.

Please continue talks on the spirit of intimacy! Your description and reads from this book are supremely interesting. I just placed a hold at my library. Thank you for this, in my opinion term “low skill” is also set to lower peoples self-worth. I have worked in the food industry, retail, hospitality, Food Service deliveries, etc. to make ends meet in Cali. & I agree 100% with you it is not easy. I am a well-rounded professional with a strong work ethic & I finessed my resume several times off of these skills that I have adapted over time. 😂😎🤓😛

On a side note, Maryland sort of being in the South doesn't really matter much when it comes to racism. A lot of Northern and Western states are racist as hell too. In my experience some of the worst blatant racism you'll come across is in the Midwest, Northwest and the far South, but the less blatant racism of the North and midway east coast states (I'd include PA, MD and NJ) can be awful and destructive as well as impossible to acknowledge because people act like the large amount of diversity somehow negates the systematic racism and deeply held racist beliefs prevalent everywhere.

I’m a dietary aide the doctors and nurse practitioners are such snobs one nurse practitioner went out her way to be nasty to me. So I reported her. She ignores me now which is fine by me. I get these doctors been to school for however many years and make more money than I’ll ever see but it’s not an excuse to be a kitty kat

Something I thought of while watching this is how some would argue "low skill" jobs have poor payment because they don't require skill but can't make sense of the reality that jobs requiring advanced degrees are paying people less than living wages and even those people are having to take on multiple jobs and roles to keep the lights on. The term low skill is weird because you could take someone out of a damn lab, and they wouldn't make it in a restaurant. I know I wouldn't at least. And that's me being real and honest.

The nasty comments are coming from entitled or willfully obtuse people who sign in to RUclips in hopes to get into an argument with someone. People will come at you sideways because you seem to be nice and seem to value people across the board. Many people will push back against this because they need to feel special and validated. When they write comments purposefully misconstruing what you are speaking about, they're trying to see if they can get you out of character. The moment they are called on it, they will say they didn't say or mean what they said and meant. I would like to know why it's so difficult for people to disagree without creating narratives about what someone said or didn't say. Anyway. Great video.

I used to hold all these feelings in just so they don’t see me sweat but that’s how they stayed in my energy rent free. Now I don’t hesitate to talk my shit or say “fuck you” when these people are being intentionally disrespectful. I felt like I needed them so I kept my anger to myself in fear of burning bridges that I thought I would need later.

When I went to college I was struggling to find a major. I finally settled on fashion/ textiles and was told to pick a career that would guarantee employment. I decided to get my degree in Social Work. I’m still not a Social Worker but I love sewing, crocheting and just creating. I’m so glad I found your channel! I embrace being an angry black woman! May have to make some angry black woman tshirts! I have no shame in expressing my anger if needed and don’t care about the label anymore. Were darned if we do and darned if we’re not. So why not! I’m not here to mother this world! Please, I definitely pray in my closet and scream my anger and petition him for vengeance upon my enemies since he said vengeance belongs to him, then here you go Lord. Not all the time but I definitely see his hand involved.

In kindergarten, the entire class was asked what do you want to be when you grew up. When it came to my turn, I said a biological engineer so I can make Pokemon in real life. The whole class stared at me and when I sat down a kid said to me "What you said was stupid and that's why no one clapped for you." That memory had been burned into me for the past 25 years.
